Antibody Analysis

1)      Look at the control cell on the bottom to check for non-reactivity.  If it is non reactive continue.

2)      Find the first cell line with no reactivity on the right

3)      Cross off all antibodies on the top except the following pairs

4)      If any of the cells listed in step 3 are positive without the cell to the right or left being positive it can be crossed out.

a.       If C,c or E,e have not yet been eliminated:

                                                               i.      If D is negative, antigens C and c are on the red cell are both positive and the cell line in non-reactive then C and c can be ruled out.

ii.      If D is negative, antigens E and e are on the red cell are both positive and the cell line in non-reactive then C and c can be ruled out.

5)      Look at the remaining antigens that have not been crossed out.

a.       Find a cell line that is positive for that antigen but non reactive on the right

b.      Exclude all possible antigens this way including those that are listed in step 3.

c.       If necessary use the reactions from the additional cells on the bottom

6)      Look and see which antigen pairs have not been excluded.  If any of the following have not been excluded, they are listed as unlikely based on the fact that they are very rare.
